Technical Program Manager - SAP ECC to SAP S4 Hana - London

Job Summary:
As a Senior TPM, you will be the driving force that collaborates with business and technical teams across the organization to ensure delivery of world-class solutions that are scalable, secure, and flexible ? all while keeping a strong customer focus at the center of your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with project sponsors, stakeholders, and various business and technical teams to define and deliver complex features.

  • Anticipate project bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make strategic trade-offs, and balance business needs with technical constraints.

  • Plan and manage multiple, concurrent projects while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Navigate ambiguity and drive clarity; leverage technical expertise and strong business acumen to influence decision-making.

  • Optimize organizational resources by identifying inefficiencies and redirecting effort as needed for higher impact.

  • Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate risks and issues at multiple levels.

  • Create, maintain, and disseminate clear and concise project information to relevant stakeholders.

  • Communicate project status and challenges in a professional, timely, and transparent manner.

  • Maintain an insatiable curiosity and understanding of the technical and architectural components of projects.

  • Apply best practices across the software development life cycle (SDLC), using agile or hybrid approaches, and effectively coordinate teams with varying methodologies.

  • Build and manage integrated project schedules that reflect internal/external dependencies, accommodate different SDLC approaches, consider constraints, and factor in contingencies.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Stakeholder Types: Product, engineering, security, and executive leadership.

  • Communication Types:

    • Standups, scrums of scrums, and checkpoint meetings.

    • Clear meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.

    • Design reviews and technical alignment sessions.

    • Workshops to resolve planning risks, brainstorm, or align on strategy.

    • Project plan reviews, epic/story validation, tracking metrics, sprint discipline, retrospectives, and dependency reporting.

  • Status Reporting: Clear, timely, and data-backed.

  • Communication Frequency: Continuous, with occasional deep-dives as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.

  • Experience:

    • 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience, including significant technical program management in complex environments.

    • Demonstrated ability to lead strategic, cross-functional software projects from concept through delivery.

    • Proven success delivering global platform services at enterprise scale.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of technology, including the ability to communicate effectively with engineers (development background not required).

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; data-driven and results-oriented.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and release management.

  • High level of judgment, maturity, negotiation ability, and leadership.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous, and entrepreneurial environments.

  • Strong influencing and conflict-resolution skills.
