Job Description
Overview

We're looking for an organised and detail focused Planning Technical Officer to join our Planning Service at East Lindsey District Council.

This is an exciting time to join us as our service continues to modernise, align processes across the Partnership, and enhance our digital systems to support efficient, customer focused planning delivery.

You'll play a key part in validating planning applications, ensuring submissions meet statutory and local requirements before registration. Working closely with colleagues across the Partnership, you'll support the smooth running of the planning process from technical checks and fee assessments to consultations, publicity, decision administration and planning appeals.

Your role will also support our ongoing evolution as you help us maintain accurate digital records, improve system use, and contribute to a consistent approach to planning processes across SELCP.

About us

Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council have formed the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership. The largest Council Partnership in the country. Since October 2021, the Partnership Councils have been working closely to deliver improved services to the communities in the sub-region and already there have been many positive outcomes.

Over time, it is envisaged that services will become formally shared across the three Councils creating the opportunity for colleagues to be involved in new and innovate areas of work.
