Technical Lead - High Performance Computing (HPC4)

Were seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to take ownership of High Performance Computer 4 (HPC4) within BEV/PHEV electrical architectures. This is a pivotal role in our client's R&D function, supporting the delivery of its first luxury BEV vehicle. Youll be the technical authority, guiding development, ensuring timely delivery and influencing strategic direction.Whats on offer:Contract: 12-month maternity cover (PAYE only, Inside IR35)Hybrid (60% onsite, flexible days)Hours: 37 hours/weekTravel: UK travel required; occasional European travel (3-4 times/year)Key Responsibilities:Lead the delivery of HPC4 components, software and hardware to defined KPIs (time, cost, quality)Provide technical direction across cross-functional teams and manage outsourced work and suppliersDevelop and maintain specialist knowledge, proposing process improvements and supporting team capabilityInfluence strategic technical roadmaps and contribute to product planning and innovationRepresent the company in technical meetings, ensuring effective communication across internal and external stakeholdersWhat Youll Bring:Degree qualified engineer, with proven experience in ECU delivery and electrical systems within the automotive industryStrong understanding of BEV/PHEV architectures and systems engineeringECU and electrical system delivery experience in an OEM environmentFamiliarity with cradle-to-grave product development processesTesting plans, vehicle and rig testing, and data set creationAbility to interpret specifications (German language skills a distinct advantage!) and understand coding tables in ECUsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with a collaborative mindsetProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management toolsDriving Licence: Required (must be over 25)Apply below to share your CV or call our offices for full details.Tiro is a specialist Employment Agency & Employment Business assisting with both contract and permanent opportunities in high performance cars, motorsport, software, electronics, engineering & manufacturing.
