Job Description
Onsite Technical/Admin Clerk

An onsite technical/admin clerk plays a vital support role in engineering, construction, or industrial projects by handling documentation, data management, and administrative coordination directly at the project site.

Responsibilities
  • Document Control: Managing technical documents, drawings, and reports-ensuring they are properly filed, updated, and accessible to engineers and project managers.
  • Data Entry & Tracking: Updating spreadsheets, databases, and logs related to project progress, materials, or equipment.
  • Team Support: Assisting engineers, superintendent and supervisors with compiling reports, preparing manuals, and chasing up deliverables.
  • Communication: Liaising with internal teams and sometimes clients to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Software Use: Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word), Adobe Acrobat, and sometimes project-specific systems.
  • Work Packs: Creation of workpacks.
  • Administrative Duties: Ordering of supplies.
  • Safety Passport or IOSH: an advantage.
  • Location: Based at Royston, with occasional travel to other company sites as operational needs arise. Accommodation can be provided for travelling clerks.
Working Hours

Working 11 day rolling fortnight: hour days and 1 6 hour day. All hours paid at basic rate.
