Job Description
The post holder will be part of the Administrative & Clerical Team within East Dunbartonshire HSCP, working directly with a multi disciplinary and administration team to support the service. The role requires concise, adaptable secretarial and administrative support, excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of personalities.

Key responsibilities- Record and prepare draft minutes of meetings.
- Copy and audio type.
- Deal with telephone and face to face enquiries from staff, patients, relatives and carers, providing information, directing and prioritising queries to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- File / maintain client records in line with standards, including discharges from the service and files from other NHS departments, complying with the Data Protection Act.
- Prepare, plan and organise all aspects of out patient clinics where applicable.
- Maintain team diary, appointment systems and office information systems within the department.
- Minimum 1 year of secretarial experience.
- Standard Grade English or equivalent experience.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
- Experience of working in an administrative background.
- Keyboard skills requiring a high degree of speed and accuracy.
- Audio typing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload and exercise initiative.
- Flexibility.
- Experience of working within an NHS environment.
- Understanding of the function of the professions within the multi disciplinary team.
