Team Lead,Operations, IB

Amazon is seeking a Team Lead for our Transportation team. Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world, and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the sortation and line haul infrastructure in the region, including identifying new routes.

Essential Functions

1. Define the transportation process from FC to delivery stations
2. Ensure sufficient bandwidth in the sortation team to manage peak time delivery
3. Conduct performance appraisals of station supervisors and mentor them for efficient operations
4. Continuously improve throughput and maintain a sustained level of delivery performance
5. Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance
6. Implement formal process control and improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen

3. Resourcefulness in achieving goals with limited resources
4. Ability to work under pressure
5. Ability to handle ambiguous situations and develop solutions accordingly

Basic Qualifications

• Any Graduation
• Experience in logistics is desirable; experience in the courier industry is highly preferred
• People management experience, especially handling field teams
• Experience in live operations where immediate decision-making is required
• Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen is a plus

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in operational roles
