Role: Team Leader

Location: Linkwood View, Elgin IV30 6GQ

Working Hours: 35 hours per week over 5 days

Remuneration: £31,428 Starting Salary (salary during 6-month probation period), £33,082 Salary (upon completion of successful probation)

In this Team Leader role, you shall provide efficient and effective support to your manager, ensuring the smooth running of a housing with care service which includes managing care packages and landlord responsibilities. You will contribute to supporting, developing, and supervising a care team whilst ensuring that efficient records are maintained. As a Team Leader you will plan and implement a robust rota system, ensuring that the service is sufficiently covered, and that medication is handled in accordance with standard operating procedure. Resident reviews will be well organised and take place in line with regulatory standards with the full input of relevant professionals and family members. Together with other managerial responsibilities you will foster an environment based on respect and confidentiality where residents' independence and choice are promoted.

About You
  • A genuine passion for helping people.
  • Ideally demonstrable experience within a care setting.
  • Demonstrate commitment and ability to undertake care practice in accordance with Scottish Social Service Council (SSSC) Codes of Practice, The Health and Social Care Standards, Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and Hanover policies and procedures.
  • Ability to relate to people with empathy and recognise their right to choice and independence.
  • Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.
  • Ideally hold an SVQ3 or above and be willing to work towards an SVQ3 and PDA in supervision.
  • Due to the nature of the role, a valid UK driving licence and access to a car is required, as there will be times where you will be expected to travel between developments in order to meet the needs of the service.
  • You will also need to have a fully satisfactory PVG check prior to joining.
