A look into the role

Reporting to the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager, you will help lead the store team to provide a shopping experience that exceeds customer expectations and makes a difference in the local community.

As Team Leader you will:

• Work alongside the Assistant Manager and/or Store Manager to ensure the store team follows store policies, standards and practices.
• Take responsibility for the store in the absence of other leaders (includes keyholder responsibility).
• Be a positive role model and represent our values of Ambition, Customer First, Teamwork and Integrity.
• Train, manage workload and support your team, being hands on in store to deliver the best customer experience.
• Support the Store Manager to maximise store performance by understanding and implementing the store plan and priorities.
• Actively promote and get involved in initiatives to support the local community.
• Cover the Post Office when required as part of this role.

Skills for Success

• You must be aged 18 years or over (for store legislative requirements) and have previous store retail experience, of which at least 6 months have been at a supervisory level.
• Natural ability to listen, interact and communicate with customers and team members.
• Target driven to help the store achieve its business plans/priorities and focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to inspire everyone to do their best for each other and the customer.
