The job itself

Fixed Term Teaching Assistant (Level 2) at Dunswell Academy, a small school in Beverley Road, Dunswell. The role is part of a team working with children including those with SEN. We need two posts: one full-time and one part-time.

Salary: £25,583 per year (13.26 per hour), pro rata, term time only.

Hours:

• Full time: Monday to Friday 08 00 and 12 45.
• Part time: Monday 08 00 and 13 45; Tuesday to Friday 08 00.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a variety of needs, including SEN and social, emotional and mental health requirements.
• Assist with classroom activities and individual support.
• Follow bespoke education plans.
• Provide a warm, supportive environment and contribute to upskilling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and Maths (GSCE or equivalent).
• Minimum Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting, especially those with additional needs.

Enhanced DBS clearance check required. The position is fixed term and term time only.
