Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Level 3

Location: DY11 6FA

Salary: £13,520 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Summary

Seeking an enthusiastic & compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our team. Ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs & eager to develop their skills within a specialist educational setting. SEPTEMBER start, closing date 30th June (will close earlier if filled before).

Salary: £8.00 per hour (Apprentice Wage). Working pattern:

  • Monday 8.35am - 4.10pm,
  • Tuesday - 8.35am - 3.10pm,
  • Thursday - 8.35am - 3.10pm,
  • Friday 8.35am - 3.10pm,

32 hours 30 minutes a week

Term Time Only

What you'll do at work
  • Support individuals and small groups in the classroom
  • Help plan learning activities and provide teaching resources
  • Promote pupil independence and engagement
  • Monitor pupil progress and behaviour
  • Provide pastoral care, including welfare and wellbeing support
  • Assist with classroom organisation and resource preparation
  • Support extracurricular activities and lunchtime supervision
  • Attend school meetings and contribute to reports
Requirements
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) desirable
  • Willingness to undergo DBS and safeguarding checks
  • You must be fully available for the working hours listed
