Teaching Assistant (KS3) September to Christmas 2026 Gloucester

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected secondary school in Gloucester from September through to Christmas 2026.

Working predominantly across Key Stage 3, you will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a positive learning environment and enabling pupils to achieve their full potential. This role would suit someone who is passionate about education, enjoys building positive relationships with young people, and can provide both academic and pastoral support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS3 classes.
• Working with individual students and small groups.
• Assisting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Helping to promote engagement, confidence and independence.
• Supporting teachers with classroom preparation and behaviour management.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• A patient, caring and proactive approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience within a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential.
