Academics is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a client school in Batley. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a dynamic educational environment, supporting children in their early years with SEND. The role is full-time, long-term, and has the potential to lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.

About the Role:
  • Specialisation: SEND and Early Years

  • Pay: £90 - £100 per day, paid weekly
  • Location: Batley, West Yorkshire

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEND in an Early Years setting.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support classroom activities and help with the preparation of learning materials.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to monitor and encourage student progress.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children, focusing on their educational and developmental needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEND, particularly with Early Years and KS1 Children.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children's individual needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in childcare, education, or SEND support is highly desirable.
