Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Norton College, Tewkesbury, GL20 8UQ
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum ( not pro rata )
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.00pm
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only
Start: November 2025

At Norton College, we're looking for Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and development, including challenging behaviours (SEMH), helping them achieve more than they ever thought possible.

What You'll Be Doing
No two days will ever be the same! You'll:
- Support engaging, hands-on learning that builds confidence and curiosity
- Prepare resources and assist with classroom activities, bringing lessons to life
- Encourage communication, independence, and personal growth in every pupil
- Provide emotional and physical support with patience, empathy, and care
- Create a safe, positive, and nurturing space where pupils can flourish
- Work closely with teachers and therapists, learning and developing every step of the way
You'll have guidance, support, and the chance to build valuable skills - while watching your pupils (and yourself) grow in confidence and achievement.
