About the Role
Wey Valley College (WVC), part of the Inclusive Education Trust (IET), is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Primary team. This is a permanent, term-time role supporting Key Stage 1 & 2 students in a 5-16 Alternative Provision school. You will provide high quality support to pupils, helping them access education and achieve their potential. The role involves working closely with teachers, parents, and stakeholders to ensure inclusion and outstanding standards for a vulnerable group of students.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 & 2
• Assist in delivering an inclusive curriculum for pupils with diverse needs
• Maintain high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external stakeholders
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people

Candidate Requirements

• Passion for inclusion and commitment to inspirational education
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to support vulnerable students and maintain high standards
• Eligible to work in the UK (Skilled Worker visa sponsorship available)
• Experience in special education, mainstream education, or Pupil Referral Units
