A secondary school in the Chingford (E4) area is looking to appoint a resilient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. This is a highly rewarding role suited to someone confident in building strong relationships, maintaining clear boundaries, and helping young people positively re engage with their education.
Role Details- Full time position - Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
- Start date: ASAP
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Managing and de escalating challenging behaviour
- Encouraging emotional regulation and positive classroom engagement
- Working collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff
- Have experience supporting students with SEMH and behavioural needs
- Be calm, patient, and consistent - firm but fair in their approach
- Build trust and act as a positive role model
- Be genuinely committed to making a difference
