Overview

Join us for an ecology-packed CPD programme for secondary teachers and FE lecturers teaching ecology. Training 9 Aug - 11 Aug 2026. This application is open to all UK-based schools and colleges, including specialist educational provision settings - you do not need to be a BES member to apply.

Location: Slapton Ley, Sands Road, Slapton, Kingsbridge, TQ7 2QP

Who should apply

UK based secondary teachers or FE lecturers who teach ecology as part of their curriculum.

What you will gain

Our CPD programme is designed to aid educators teach ecology to students nationwide. You will overcome barriers to teaching ecology, receive skills and knowledge to teach ecology, and be inspired to create engaging lessons of your own.

What you will do
  • Engage with industry professionals running workshops on a range of ecological skills
  • Network with other educators from a variety of schools and colleges
  • Learn strategies to overcome barriers you may experience teaching ecology
  • Explore how ecology can be taught using a wide range of learning theories: inclusive learning, interdisciplinary learning, strengthening maths and English skills
  • Receive a free bundle of equipment to be used to teach ecology
