Northampton International Academy is a local school with a global vision, a partnership within the East Midlands Academy Trust (EMAT). The Trust operates schools across Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes and Oundle and offers extensive professional development and support for staff.
The Academy is housed in a state of the art facility that was previously a Royal Mail sorting office. It provides a broad curriculum for key stage 3 learners, specialist facilities, and a character education programme that runs from reception to Year 13. The Academy is still expanding and offers additional responsibilities such as a Combined Cadet Force unit.
General Roles and Responsibilities- Act within statutory frameworks and the School Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and Teacher Standards (2012)
- Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils, ensuring equality of opportunity
- Be accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
- Treat pupils with dignity, building respectful relationships and maintaining professional boundaries
- Collaborate effectively with learners, parents/carers, governors, staff and external agencies for the best interests of pupils
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school
