About Us

Derby Cathedral School, part of the Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (DDAT), is the first Church of England Secondary School in the Diocese. Since opening in 2018, we have grown into a thriving learning community, now accommodating over 1,200 students from Years 7 to 13. The Role

A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Maths to join Derby Cathedral School as it continues to grow in terms of numbers and success. The successful candidate will have:

• Good quality Honours degree in an appropriate discipline.
• PGCE or equivalent in secondary education with relevant subject specialism.
• Qualified Teacher Status.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Head of Department, provide vision, leadership and day to day operational management of the delivery of Mathematics within the school.
• Secure high quality teaching and effective use of resources to achieve the highest standards of achievement for all pupils.
• Contribute to the development and realisation of the whole school core values, the aims, vision and ethos of the school.
• Ensure effective quality assurance outcomes for the subject which meet the high standards expected by the school.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and external agencies to foster a supportive environment.
• Promote the school's FAITH values and ensure a positive culture for learning.
