Job OverviewWe are seeking a qualified Teacher of English to start September 2026 on a temporary basis. The role will involve planning and delivering curriculum for KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils' academic progress, and contributing to the whole school ethos in partnership with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, teach and assess curriculum in line with national standards for KS3 and KS4.
- Provide personalised support to students, including differentiation and intervention where required.
- Act as Personal Tutor, managing pastoral and academic welfare for tutors and pupils.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver cross curriculum projects and share best practice.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
- Engage with parents and carers to support pupil development.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven knowledge of the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4 English.
- Strong safeguarding awareness and commitment to child protection principles.
- Desire for professional growth, reflective practice and innovative teaching.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
