Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to inspire and support students at Alvaston Moor Academy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality English lessons that engage and challenge pupils.
• Support students' literacy development and critical thinking skills.
• Contribute to academy life, including curriculum planning and assessment.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and improve teaching outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE).
• Experience teaching English to secondary pupils.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for student success.
• Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and inclusion.
