The RoleWe areseekingan enthusiastic,committedand inspiring Teacher of Biology / Chemistry to join our successful Science team. In this role, you will deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment across Level 3 science programmes, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress confidently to further study,apprenticeshipsor employment.
This role requires the ability to teach Level 3 Biology (0.6 FTE) and Level 3 Chemistry (0.4 FTE), with experience in delivering A Level or BTEC Applied Science Level 3 programmes.
We welcome applications from those with a single science specialism, asa part time job share will be considered.
The role may involve teachingA Level, Applied Science or T Level Sciencedepending on curriculum need.

Key Responsibilities- Teach engaging and challenging lessons across a range of Level 3 courses, developing confident,independentand resilient learners.
- Use a range of assessment strategies to check progress, give high qualityfeedbackand adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
- Contribute to curriculum planning,developmentand innovation within the Science team.
- Maintain a positive,inclusiveand professional learning environment aligned with the College's behaviour and safeguarding expectations.
- Support students' wider personal development and progression through effective tutorial engagement and pastoral care.
- Participate fully in quality assurance processes, including course administration, studenttrackingand continuous improvement activity.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to enhance teaching, share bestpracticeand drive outstanding outcomes.
- A relevant degree and a teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Experience of teaching Biology and/or Chemistry at Level 3, ideally including exam based qualifications.Job share applicants must have experience in at least one of the two specialisms.
- Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of evidence based approaches to teaching,learningand assessment.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Knowledge of post 16 qualifications, progression routes and the requirements of awarding bodies and Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework.
