Teacher Assistant
190 day position
Salary: $20,932 base salary (based on education and experience)
Location: Darlington High School
Available: School Year
Negative TB test must be on file prior to starting work.
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Qualifications- Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education, or an associate degree (or higher)
- High School Diploma or the equivalent AND Ready to Work Credentials
- WIN Assessment - minimum Level 3 certification
- ParaPro - copy of passing score (minimum 456) on ParaPro, the state approved academic assessment
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Responsible To: Principal
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide classroom teaching assistance
- Provide supervision of students at all times
- Provide students with daily care as needed or required
- Adhere to district dress code policies
- Maintain required confidentiality in regard to students and school records
- Positively supports all facets of student growth and development
- Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds
- Perform other duties as assigned

- College Degree or transcript showing sixty (60) or more credit hours
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND WIN or Parapro
