Job Description
Teaching and Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
- Set high expectations which inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND, EAL, and those who are disadvantaged.
- Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policy.
- Use assessment effectively to inform planning and improve outcomes for pupils.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to pupils to support their learning.
Classroom Management
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils.
- Implement the school's behaviour policy consistently
- Promote good behaviour, self-discipline and respect.
Curriculum and Planning
- Plan and deliver a broad, balanced and creative curriculum.
- Contribute to curriculum development within the school.
- Ensure learning experiences are inclusive and accessible for all pupils.
- Incorporate opportunities for cross-curricular learning.
Safeguarding and Wellbeing
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Report any safeguarding concerns in line with school procedures.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and mental well-being.
Conduct
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and senior leaders.
- Participate in staff meetings, training and professional development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events, clubs or trips where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Uphold the values and ethos of the school and Trust.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Communicate effectively about pupils' progress and wellbeing.
- Contribute to parent meetings, reports and consultations.
- Work with external agencies where required to support pupils.
