Job Description

Tax Reporting

  • Prepare tax calculations and provisions for year-end and mid-year reporting under IFRS
  • Ensure tax information in financial statements is accurate and work with auditors when needed
  • Review tax accounting positions and make sure they follow accounting standards
  • Work with finance teams to identify tax risks and improve tax processes
Compliance Management
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors who handle corporate tax, VAT, and other tax filings
  • Review tax returns and payments from external providers to ensure they're accurate and meet local requirements
  • Stay updated on tax law changes and implement them in our reporting processes
  • Be the main contact person for tax authorities and external tax advisors
  • Help with various tax questions across the company including corporate tax, VAT, and employment tax
  • Support the tax team with special projects
  • Help with statutory audit office compliance requirements
Process Improvement & Risk Management
  • Create and implement better controls to make tax reporting more accurate and efficient
  • Identify potential tax risks and suggest ways to reduce them
  • Support tax planning efforts and evaluate how business decisions affect taxes
  • Work with finance, accounting, and legal teams on tax-related issues
The Successful Applicant

A successful Tax Reporting & Compliance Manager should have:

  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CTA, ACA, or similar) is preferred
  • Solid background in tax reporting, tax accounting, or corporate tax work, ideally gained in a business environment rather than practice
  • Good understanding of international accounting standards for tax reporting, UK corporate tax rules, and indirect taxes like VAT
  • Experience working with tax compliance and meeting regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with business systems and tax software tools
  • Strong skills in analyzing data and solving complex problems
  • Excellent ability to communicate with and manage relationships with various stakeholders
  • Proven track record of successfully managing external tax service providers
  • Thorough knowledge of international financial reporting standards
