Job Description

Salary: OTE of £300k+ comprising basic of £135k to £175k and uncapped bonus + medium term equity potential

Flexible working

An award winning independent corporate finance advisory firm is looking for an ambitious Tax Partner to establish and lead its transactional tax offering.

This is far more than another tax role.

It's an opportunity to build a new service line within an established, highly profitable advisory business with an outstanding reputation in the lower mid-market M&A space. Backed by a strong flow of existing corporate finance work and an experienced partner group, you'll have the autonomy, platform and support to create something genuinely significant.

The Opportunity

You'll become the firm's lead transactional tax specialist, supporting a high performing corporate finance and due diligence team while growing a standalone tax advisory offering.

There is already a substantial internal pipeline of work waiting to be delivered, giving you an immediate platform to build from while developing new client relationships and expanding the firm's market presence.

This is a genuine partner track opportunity with clear long term progression and the ability to influence the future direction of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll advise on a broad range of corporate transactions and tax advisory matters, including:

  • Tax advice on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and due diligence assignments
  • Corporate tax structuring for transactions and NewCo formations
  • HMRC clearances and technical tax planning
  • Reviewing legal documentation from a tax perspective
  • Employee share schemes and Employment Related Securities (ERS)
  • EIS, SEIS and VCT planning and advance assurance applications
  • Group restructurings, demergers and company share buy-backs
  • Building relationships with private equity investors, entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses
  • Developing and growing the firm's transactional tax practice

We're keen to speak with experienced transactional tax professionals who:

  • Have extensive experience within a leading accountancy practice or specialist corporate finance boutique
  • Have strong technical expertise across transactional tax
  • Enjoy building client relationships and winning new work
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and want to shape a growing practice
  • Thrive in collaborative, partner-led environments
  • Are commercially minded and motivated by building something of their own

Experience advising owner managed businesses, private equity clients and mid-market transactions would be highly advantageous.

This role offers a highly attractive performance led package designed to reward successful business builders.

Alongside a competitive base salary, you'll benefit from:

  • Significant uncapped bonus potential linked directly to performance
  • A clearly defined route towards Equity Partnership
  • Access to an established client base and immediate transaction pipeline
  • Opportunities to work on domestic and international transactions
  • Genuine influence over the growth of the business and service offering

This is an entrepreneurial, collaborative firm where Partners are trusted to build, innovate and make an impact.

Rather than inheriting bureaucracy, you'll inherit opportunity.

You'll join a close knit team with an excellent reputation, consistent deal flow and ambitious plans for future growth making this an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career.

If you're an experienced Transactional Tax professional looking for a genuine Partner opportunity where you can build a practice, grow your market profile and be rewarded for your success, we'd love to hear from you.
