Managing a client base ranging from high-net-worth individuals, landlords, and directors to businesses with turnover up to £200m, the practice combines technical excellence with a genuinely collaborative working environment.

As a Personal Tax Client Portfolio Manager you will:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a personal tax client portfolio including HNWIs, landlords, sole traders, and company directors.
  • Manage the full annual Self-Assessment tax return cycle, maintaining oversight of deadlines, workflow, and billing.
  • Prepare and review partnership tax returns, trust tax returns, P11Ds, and PSAs alongside complex capital gains, foreign income, and investment tax calculations.
  • Provide practical, proactive personal tax advice on allowances, reliefs, and timing of disposals while directly supporting partners on complex statutory HMRC enquiries and advisory matters.
  • Collaborate across practice teams to streamline Making Tax Digital (MTD) processes and mentor junior staff on basic compliance reviews.
As the successful candidate you will:
  • Hold an ATT or CTA qualification, or be demonstrably Qualified by Experience (QBE).
  • Possess substantial personal tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise across Self-Assessment, capital gains tax, and handling HMRC correspondence or enquiries.
  • Have proven experience autonomously managing client portfolio deadlines, billing, and workflows within a small-team environment.
  • Be highly proficient in tax compliance software, ideally TaxCalc.
