The Systems Engineer (Requirements Management) will be an integral member of the SEIT team, responsible for defining, capturing, and managing system requirements throughout the development lifecycle of the PHASA-35 Uncrewed Aerial System (UAS). The role involves supporting the design, simulation, build, integration, and testing phases, ensuring traceability and compliance of all requirements from concept through delivery. This position requires a methodical and detail-oriented individual capable of collaborating across engineering disciplines to ensure alignment with overall system objectives and customer needs.

Tasks and Accountabilities:

Undertake requirements definition derived from stakeholder / customer requirements.
Be responsible for ownership of system requirements through the engineering lifecycle.
Support of sub-system requirement derivation and compilation of compliance evidence.
Ensure complete verification evidence of requirements in support of certification.
Be responsible for the management of Engineering Change in accordance with Prismatic Engineering policies and chair regular Change Review Board meetings.
Provide impact assessments of change to the design from a systems engineering perspective.
Work with Systems Engineering team in balancing, adapting and delivering the technical scope of the projects.
Be responsible for elements of the design of UAV systems working under supervision of technical management.
Assist with definition and coordination of qualification and acceptance test campaigns in accordance with Prismatic Airworthiness plan and Engineering policies.
Support analysis and assessment of aircraft functional and post-flight test data.

Requirements:

Required:

Degree or equivalent experience in Physics, Engineering or related subject.
Experience in a relevant industry across the systems lifecycle in requirements management.
Experience in system testing, evaluation and analysis of data and verification and validation of requirements.
Use of DOORS, PTC, MathWorks or similar Requirements Management Tools for requirement capture and evidence traceability.
Experience of working in a dynamic delivery-focussed team, managing tension between specification and delivery.
Comprehension and experience working within the engineering life cycle of a product or system.

Some of the following may be beneficial:

Experience in preparation of technical documentation (e.g. Statements of Design, Certificates of Design, Declaration of Design and Performance etc) within the aerospace industry.
Experience of novel R&D programs, ideally with challenging 'cutting edge' technology.
Experience of modelling and simulation in Python or similar high-level languages.
Knowledge of Aerospace Safety standards (ARP4754, DO-178, DO-254).

Start - ASAP.
Location - Alton, Hampshire, UK.
Post - Permanent.
Working time 37.5 hrs per week.
Pension - 10% contribution from the company included plus a salary exchange for AVCs.
