You will be required to be based on site at Bedlington for this role, so you must be able to drive and have a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the systems, networks and cyber assets meet required functional and non functional requirements.
  • Manage the lifecycle of systems, networks and cyber assets, including supplier and spare parts management and the initiation of projects and tenders as needed to meet resilience, regulatory and business needs.
  • Coordinate outages and other frequent activities and ensure they are successfully undertaken.
  • Manage any associated incidents or disaster recovery scenarios and ensure the team is tested and prepared.
  • Foster and maintain a culture of good cyber security and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure they meet quality, compliance standards and oversee the associated budget.
  • Oversee assurance and audit activities when undertaken.
  • Ensure compliance with key regulatory requirements and collaborate on compliance reporting with other SMEs.
  • Support the delivery of works and services across the Interconnectors Portfolio of IFA, IFA2, NSL and Viking Link sites on occasion.
  • Participate in a site call out rota on a periodic basis and support live incidents when they occur.
Requirements
  • Experience or background in operational technology within the energy industry, familiar with SCADA and control and protection systems.
  • Knowledge of high voltage electrical systems and networks is a benefit but not required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Confidence to oversee and carry out maintenance work on physical hardware.
  • Networking qualifications such as CompTIA, Cisco or other ISO/IEC standards are desirable.
  • Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, creating tangible content and analysis.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering business requirements on time and within budget.

  • Understanding of relevant regulatory requirements (such as the Networks and Information Systems Regulation, NIS) is beneficial but not essential.
Benefits
