Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm (with flexibility in line with the Library's hybrid working policy)

About the role
We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our small, dedicated IT team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for:
• Developing, installing, and maintaining company-wide systems
• Maintenance of the Library s internal and cloud based systems
• Network administration: monitoring systems on a day-to-day basis, updating systems when necessary
• Providing 2nd/3rd level technical support to the IT Assistant and responding to security threats and network security
• Working with internal stakeholders, service providers, and external partners for both day-to-day operations and digital transformation projects
About You
You are an enthusiastic professional with:
• A formal qualification, preferably in an Information Technology subject
• Experience of maintaining a variety of complex IT systems in an academic library or membership organisation
• Experience of evaluating and commissioning computer hardware
• Ability to work with absolute discretion, tact and confidentiality
• First-rate general IT skills (Windows, MS Office, email, internet), and proven ability to problem-solve IT problems
• Proven ability to learn new systems quickly
• Excellent communication skills, both one-to-one and with groups
• Proven ability to organise own work and use time effectively
• Proven ability to deliver project deliverables to time, cost and quality
