System Engineer E&I

Focus Engineering is op zoek naar een System Engineer E&I in Noord-Holland.

Onze klant is een leverancier van hijs- en hefoplossingen voor de maritieme, offshore en energie-industrie. Zij combineren engineering met vakmanschap om systemen te ontwerpen, bouwen en onderhouden. Vanuit hun hoofd locatie werken zij aan high-end offshore kranen, equipment voor windinstallaties en E&I-oplossingen voor de zwaarste omstandigheden.

Functieomschrijving:

Als (Senior) System Engineer E&I ben jij binnen multidisciplinaire projectteams verantwoordelijk voor de volledige elektrische en instrumentatie engineering lifecycle. Je bent het technische geweten van projecten, stuurt (junior) engineers aan, en bewaakt de kwaliteit en compliance van jouw ontwerpen.

• Opstellen van systeemrequirementspecificaties conform ISO15288, inclusief functionele eisen en subsystemen
• Ontwerpen en specificeren van AC/DC-voedingssystemen, aandrijvingen en energieopslagsystemen (ESS)
• Uitvoeren van elektrotechnische analyses zoals load flow-, spanningsval-, harmonischen-, kortsluit- (AC/DC) en selectiviteitsberekeningen
• Opstellen van technische specificaties voor inkoop en coördineren van leveranciers gedurende de engineeringsfase
• Beoordelen en aansturen van het werk van (detail) engineers en externe partijen op inhoud, kwaliteit en planning
• Integreren van subsystemen zoals CCTV, bliksembeveiliging, AOL, HVAC en andere hulpsystemen in het hoofdontwerp
• Voorbereiden van verificatieprocedures en testplannen (EITR, FAT, commissioning) voor validatie van systeemfunctionaliteit

Wie ben jij?

• HBO of WO werk- en denkniveau in Elektrotechniek, Industriële Automatisering of vergelijkbaar
• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in E&I-systemen voor offshore, maritieme of zware industrie

Focus Engineering is looking for a System Engineer E&I in North Holland.

Our client is a leading supplier of lifting and hoisting solutions for the maritime, offshore, and energy industries. They combine high-level engineering with hands-on craftsmanship to design, build, and maintain systems. From their headquarters, they deliver high-end offshore cranes, wind installation equipment, and E&I solutions designed to perform in the harshest conditions.

As a (Senior) System Engineer E&I, you will be responsible for the complete electrical and instrumentation engineering lifecycle within multidisciplinary project teams. You serve as the technical conscience of the project, lead junior engineers, and ensure quality and compliance throughout the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define system requirement specifications according to ISO 15288, including functional and subsystem-level requirements
• Design and specify AC/DC power systems, drives, and energy storage systems (ESS)
• Perform electrical analyses such as load flow, voltage drop, harmonics, short-circuit (AC/DC), and selectivity studies
• Prepare technical specifications for procurement and coordinate with suppliers during the engineering phase
• Review and guide the work of (detailed) engineers and subcontractors on content, quality, and planning
• Integrate auxiliary subsystems (e.g. CCTV, lightning protection, AOL, HVAC) into the main design
• Prepare verification procedures and test plans (EITR, FAT, commissioning) to validate system functionality

Who Are You?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience with E&I systems for the offshore, maritime, or heavy industry sectors
