Job Description

Lloyd's is a leading insurance and reinsurance marketplace that seeks a dedicated professional to influence underwriting performance, strategy and oversight of a select group of Managing Agents. The role focuses on driving sustainable profitable growth at both portfolio and business plan levels across all Lloyd's product lines.

Responsibilities
  • Own the partnering relationships with and oversee the performance of a portfolio of Managing Agents.
  • Conduct continuous portfolio performance management, assessing results at syndicate, class of business and business plan levels.
  • Provide high quality analysis, guidance and insight to CUOs and Active Underwriters across all product lines.
  • Lead new market wide initiatives and Lloyd's strategies in response to evolving market conditions and challenges.
  • Use a risk based approach to manage and deliver business plans across all product lines.
  • Present performance analyses and strategic recommendations at senior level forums.
Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of Lloyd's global (re)insurance marketplace and current industry environment.
  • Proven technical expertise and/or knowledge of underwriting and planning.
  • Experience in portfolio management and a clear understanding of syndicate business plan operations.
  • Strong grasp of insurance P&L practices and performance drivers.
  • Analytical ability to interpret complex statistical data and dashboards to support decisions.
  • Ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders in relation to underwriting strategies and business plans.
  • Experience presenting at a senior level.
  • Knowledge of Lloyd's Principles-Based Oversight framework (preferred but not compulsory).
  • Evidence of serving as a role model, fostering collaboration and contributing positively to the team.
