SWIMMING TEACHER

KINGSBURY LEISURE CENTRE - KINGSBURY SCHOOL

Grade G, point 12 £14.82 per hour (excluding holiday pay), enhanced to £16.64 (including holiday pay)

We have a fantastic opportunity for Swimming Teachers to join our team at Kingsbury Leisure Centre. We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic, experienced and well organised Swimming Teachers who can support primary school lessons and private swimming lessons, with abilities ranging from beginners through to advanced.

Responsibilities

Deliver swimming lessons for primary school and private students, ranging from beginners to advanced. Plan and set up lessons, keep equipment tidy during and after classes, administer registers and assess for Swim England distance badges and water skills badges. Communicate with learners, parents/carers and school teachers. Work as part of a team with other swimming teachers and lifeguards, and support the full staff meeting and NPLQ training as required.

Qualifications

You must have a current NRASTC to perform the swimming teacher role at Kingsbury Leisure Centre. NRASTC must be renewed to the required timeframe; failure to renew will result in termination of employment as a swimming teacher.

The following qualifications will be considered:

  • SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming Qualification
  • STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming
  • STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming
  • National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches
  • Baby & Pre school
