EIS Versilia is seeking a Swimming Instructor

Program: Afterschool Activities Starting: September 2025

Location: Versilia, Tuscany Part-time position

EIS Versilia is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to lead weekly after school swimming sessions for students aged 6 to 14. The course aims to promote water safety, technical skills, physical confidence, and a love for swimming in a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach swimming classes tailored to different age groups and ability levels (beginner to intermediate);

- Promote water confidence, stroke development, breathing techniques, and safety awareness;

- Use engaging, age-appropriate methods to support both recreational and skill-building goals;

- Ensure safe supervision of all participants and proper use of equipment and pool facilities;

- Collaborate with school staff and families to monitor progress and participation.

Requirements:

- Certified Swimming Instructor qualification and current first aid/lifeguard certification;

- Experience teaching children and adolescents in an aquatic setting;

- Ability to plan and adapt lessons to mixed-ability groups;

- Spoken English or Italian (English B2 minimum, C1 preferred);

- Patience, strong communication skills, and a safety-first approach;

- Availability one or more afternoons per week from September 2025.
