An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated graduate or postgraduate to lead a strategic Knowledge Transfer Partnership between Brunel University London and Rollagranola. The project focuses on reducing energy consumption, improving product quality, and developing innovative, sustainable, and cost efficient baking processes within a rapidly growing food business.
Responsibilities- Managing a strategic, high value project from concept through to implementation.
- Translating academic expertise into commercially viable solutions.
- Driving innovation in baking processes and energy efficiency.
- Engaging with stakeholders across both organisations, including production teams and senior management.
- Reporting progress, presenting findings, and supporting strategic decision making.
The role offers valuable commercial exposure through engagement with clients and suppliers, and participation in international industry events and conferences.
Candidate ProfileA First Class or 2:1 Honours degree, MSc, or PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Essential Skills and Experience- Strong technical knowledge in Food science, Food processing, Engineering, Technology.
- Experience in experimental design and data analysis.
- Ability to develop optimisation models (e.g., using ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar tools).
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Industrial experience in food manufacturing and operations.
- Knowledge of cereal processing and sustainability.
