Job Description
Mission

As part of the wider Sustainable Development team in the UK&I, the Sustainability Specialist will play an integral role in planning, driving and executing sustainability and wider environment projects cross the UK&I territory in order to achieve Schneider Electric's sustainability commitments. The Sustainability Specialist will be responsible to drive cross functional projects across the UK and Ireland, while also improving and driving employee engagement around sustainability topics.

Key responsibilities
  • Work directly with sites, facility management providers, suppliers, business functions etc. to collect sustainability and environment data
  • Input and manage data quality and coverage in Resource Advisor and other tools, in line with reporting requirements
  • Analyse sustainability data and prepare reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, highlighting variances against previous reporting periods and working to understand these
  • Use data to drive evidence based, strategic decision making (e.g. waste improvements, real estate decarbonisation, energy efficiency programmes)
Delivering sustainability and environment initiatives
  • Develop and execute clear project plans, including timelines for deployment, to ensure sustainability targets and wider business objectives are met
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure progress towards sustainability targets
  • Support business functions on sustainability integration
  • Collaborate with a number of stakeholders, internal and external, on sustainability topics
  • Drive wider territory engagement on sustainability topics through the development of training programmes, written communications etc.
Skills and attributes
  • Displayed interest in sustainability
  • Data management and analysis skills
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability programmes
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a collaborative and solution oriented approach
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science or related field required or relevant postgraduate degree
