Supporting Hands volunteer

We're looking for Supporting Hands Volunteers to offer practical help and emotional support to patients being cared for in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Visiting patients at home to offer companionship and conversation
• Helping with light practical tasks - making a cuppa, running errands, or just sitting quietly
• Supporting families and carers with your presence and empathy
• Being a gentle, caring part of someone's day

For this role you will need access to your own transport as our patients can be spread across a relatively wide area and may live in places that are difficult to get to by public transport.

Requirements

• Volunteers aged 18 or over
• Hours per session: Between 1 and 2 hours
• Availability: Flexible (morning, afternoon, evening; Monday-Sunday)
