Job Description
As a Team Leader you will be managing staff providing person-centered care, ensuring support plans promote independence, dignity, and safety
This includes overseeing care delivery, compliance with CQC standards, staff supervision, risk management, and fostering active community engagement
Key Responsibilities & Duties:- Staff Leadership: Mentoring, supervising, and developing support staff, including managing performance and training
- Person-Centred Care: Ensuring support plans are implemented to maximize independence, dignity, and quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitoring services to ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and legislation
- Operational Management: Coordinating daily routines, conducting risk assessments, and managing safeguarding issues
- Reporting & Communication: Reporting to service managers, attending meetings, and communicating with external stakeholders and families
Shifts:
The core working hours cover a range of morning and evening shifts and will also include working weekends - you will be expected to remain flexible and take part in out-of-hours on-call rotations to support the team
Key Skills & Requirements:- Experience: Previous experience as a team leader in a LD / Autistic environment
- Knowledge: Understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and person-centred care principles
- Leadership: Strong communication, decision-making, and motivation skills
- Qualifications: Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or higher) or working towards one
Other Requirements:
- Full UK licence with access to own car
