Job Description
Supported Accommodation Manager - Up to £55,000 (Plus Bonus) - Full time - Birmingham Area - Ages 16-17 Year Olds

About the Role

We are excited to be working with a fantastic and well-established Children's Home Company who is looking to bring on an experienced Supported Accommodation Manager. As a Supported Accommodation Manager, you'll take the lead in running this fantastic service. The service aims to provide a safe, supportive environment that promotes independence and positive outcomes for young people preparing for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the supported accommodation service.
  • Ensure compliance with the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Ofsted requirements.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times.
  • Develop, implement and review support plans, risk assessments and placement plans.
  • Supervise, support and develop staff, including inductions and performance management.
  • Ensure effective safeguarding procedures are followed, including responding to and reporting incidents appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, placing authorities and partner agencies.
  • Monitor and improve service quality through audits, feedback and continuous improvement processes.
  • Provide effective leadership, direction, and management of the home and staff team.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with its Statement of Purpose.
  • Create a positive, child centred culture that promotes safety, stability, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Lead by example, modelling professional standards and therapeutic approaches.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in children's social care, supported accommodation or a related field.
  • Experience working with looked after children or care leavers.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and risk management.
  • Level 3 or Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards).
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
  • Experience working in an Ofsted-regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of leaving care frameworks and pathway planning.
