Job Description
Supported Accommodation Manager 
Location: Birmingham, England
Sector: Social Care
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum (plus bonus)
About the RoleSupported Accommodation Manager responsible for leading and managing the day to day operation of a supported accommodation service for young people aged . The role aims to provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence and positive outcomes for young people preparing for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the day to day running of the supported accommodation service
- Ensure compliance with Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Ofsted requirements
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times
- Develop, implement and review support plans, risk assessments and placement plans
- Supervise, support and develop staff, including inductions and performance management
- Ensure effective safeguarding procedures are followed, including responding to and reporting incidents appropriately
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, placing authorities and partner agencies
- Monitor and improve service quality through audits, feedback and continuous improvement processes
- Provide effective leadership, direction, and management of the home and staff team
- Ensure the home operates in line with its Statement of Purpose
- Create a positive, child centred culture that promotes safety, stability, and emotional wellbeing
- Lead by example, modelling professional standards and therapeutic approaches
- Minimum 3 years' experience in children's social care, supported accommodation or a related field
- Experience working with looked after children or care leavers
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and risk management
- Level 3 or Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager
- Experience working in an Ofsted regulated environment
- Knowledge of leaving care frameworks and pathway planning
