Supportability Engineer -
Job Title: Systems - Supportability EngineerLocation: New Malden or Frimley- We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: up to £50000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
- Manage data modules through the lifecycle and publish them to IETP or PDF (depending on customer requirements)
- Developing support strategy for combat systems' hardware
- Preparing data for parts codification
- Collaborating closely with engineers to influence the design for support
- Interpreting engineering data, and where appropriate, querying data to ensure correct and accurate interpretation - Availability, Reliability and Maintainability assessment
- Preparing ILS reports/documentation for delivery to customers on time and to quality
Your skills and experiences:
- Familiar with at least one supportability discipline (e.g. technical handbooks, AR&M, maintenance schedules, Spares modelling, FMECA, etc .)
- Ability to build and maintain relationships
- Effective communication, problem solving, organisation and prioritisation skills
Engineers at all levels should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or other related STEM subjects as well as specific (either academic or professional) qualifications and become recognised as Incorporated or Chartered Engineers through an appropriate recognised professional institution.
Engineers are encouraged, and will be supported, to achieve the relevant accreditation.
Preference will be given to candidates who are already professionally registered

The Supportability and Handbooks team:
You will provide supportability services to a diverse range of projects within Combat Systems. The team's goal is to influence the design so that the product can be supported through-life; we provide this service into almost all Combat Systems projects in some way. This is an opportunity to get involved with some high-profile projects and have a tangible impact on the lifecycle of some cutting-edge technologies.
This role will provide you with opportunity to learn develop your skillset alongside some very capable engineers with a further progression for the right candidate .
