Job Description
Support Practitioner - Overview 
If you have a passion for helping vulnerable people enjoy as much fulfillment as they can and feel included in their community, this role may be for you. The Service provides individualised, self directed support to adults with a wide range of needs in North Lanarkshire.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one to one practical and emotional support to service users.
- Encourage users to achieve personal outcomes in daily life including safety, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships and emotional wellbeing.
- Work with families, health and social work professionals, advocacy services and staff to provide person centred support.
- Support users in budgeting, personal care and domestic skills to maintain independent living.
- Full training will be provided - no previous working experience required.
- Values: respect, compassion, inclusion, and integrity.
- IT skills required for all vacancies.
- Successful applicants may be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of start date.
- Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be necessary.

The role is part of a team of 44 staff supporting 19 individuals (7 forensic). It is aligned with North Lanarkshire Council, NAS, and social work departments.
