Job Description
Support Engineer, Appstore Software Excellence

Amazon's Appstore Platform services are highly available, mission-critical services that handle a large volume of transactions and directly impact the customer experience. The Appstore Software Excellence team's vision is to promptly address end customer issues and reduce the cost of doing business. Our long-term plan is to evolve into a product care team that can own legacy business stacks end-to-end, reducing costs and investing in new Appstore initiatives.

As part of this vision, the team will work on migrating existing services to a new infrastructure to better manage capacity, upgrade software, and implement best practices. This role involves collaborating with senior engineers to design, develop, and transition to this new setup.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and migrate services to new infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and debug technical systems.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the Appstore platform.
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of software development or technical support experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
  • Experience in Unix.
  • Scripting experience in modern programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AWS, networks, and operating systems.
