Job Description
Support Assistant 
6 High Street, Dodworth, Barnsley, S75 3RF
£13.15 per hour
22.5 hours per week
Responsibilities- Support customers with mental health needs to build confidence and reach their potential
- Provide a hands on, high quality support service
- Encourage daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and community involvement
- Promote social inclusion and help customers develop resilience and self esteem
- Work with agencies on behalf of customers, encouraging choice and acting as an advocate when needed
- Maintain a safe environment and follow relevant regulations and practices
- Show a caring and approachable nature
- Keep accurate records and share information clearly with the team
- Exercise excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with customers, families and agencies
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team
- Adopt a positive and accepting approach to customers regardless of their needs
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it
- Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar)
