The post holder will provide efficient, confidential, and reliable administrative and secretarial support within the Leadership team. Good communication skills are essential to ensure a proficient, high quality service.
Main duties of the job- Support and cover for the Business Administration Office when appropriate.
- Type correspondence, reports, minutes and agendas to a high standard using Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other packages.
- Deal effectively and politely with enquiries both internal and external, using personal judgement on dissemination to appropriate staff member in Department/Trust.
- Assist with general office administration including scanning and photocopying as required.
- Remain calm and sensitive in difficult and sensitive situations.
- Maintain staff and patient confidentiality in all areas of work.
- Carry out any tasks effectively which are regarded as being within the grade of this job.
- Attend meetings where relevant.
- Liaise with the Business Administration Team to ensure all deadlines are adhered to and tasks are carried out competently.

Person Specification Education and qualifications- English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in administration or equivalent experience or RSA level III or able to demonstrate equivalent skill.
- IT experience of Microsoft Office packages.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Knowledge of MS Word.
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of customer/patient care/ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability, when necessary, to plan and organise workload and workstation.
- Previous NHS experience.
- Understanding the importance of following policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of using database/ spreadsheet to update data.
