Supply Teacher - Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for flexible secondary school teaching practitioners that are available from as little as one day per week, up to full time, to work in schools in Bridlington and the surrounding areas. This is a temporary position; further details about availability or work requirements can be established by contacting the numbers below.
Pay & SalaryDaily rates for supply teacher bookings will be between £140 and £180 per day, varying with experience, qualifications and distance travelled. Long term positions will be paid on the main teaching pay scale, from M1 to UPS3, with salaries ranging from £32,916 to £51,042 per year (scaled to a daily rate of £168.80 to £261.78 per day). Rates are subject to change with teacher pay increases in September 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Cover lessons outside or within your specialism, depending on the school's needs and your preference.
- Ensure students behave and make progress during each teaching day.
- Escalate any safeguarding concerns or queries to the designated safeguarding lead.
- Support the day to day running of the schools you are assigned to, maintaining consistency by working at the same school or set of schools when possible.
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
- Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Have experience working within schools in the UK.
- Obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable), and professional reference checks.
- Provide a CV covering your full history and legal right to work in the UK.
