Academics are recruiting Supply Cover Supervisors to work on a temporary, flexible, ongoing basis within welcoming and well-supported secondary schools throughout the Doncaster area.
This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, or experienced cover staff who want regular school-based experience without the responsibility of lesson planning or marking.
- Position: Supply Cover Supervisor
- Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
- Contract: Temporary, flexible, ongoing supply
- Pay: £100 - £130 per day (dependent on experience, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
- Start Date: ASAP or from a start date that suits you
As a Supply Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom during short-term or planned teacher absences, supervising pupils and ensuring learning continues smoothly. You'll deliver pre-set work, manage behaviour, and maintain a positive and focused classroom environment across a range of secondary subjects.

Key Responsibilities- Supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson materials
- Ensure pupils remain on task and engaged throughout the lesson
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide support and guidance to pupils where appropriate
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and senior leaders
- Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times
- A degree or equivalent qualification (essential)
- Confident classroom presence and the ability to manage behaviour
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Flexible, reliable and professional approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with secondary aged pupils
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
