Job description
A global engineering manufacturing business requires a Supply Chain Manager. Applicants need end-to-end supply chain expertise, deep knowledge of MRP/ERP, and gravitas.
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for purchasing, planning, logistics, and stores. Reporting to a General Manager, they will sit on the site leadership team. They will provide leadership to 5 direct reports (15 indirect) across purchasing, planning, stores/logistics, and will own MRP/ERP data to inform commercial decisions.
Specific duties include:
- Develop and align site procurement and planning strategies with Group level
- Drive improved supplier performance in lead time, lot size, on-time delivery, etc.
- Manage all stock and inventory on site, including internal logistics, stock control, and optimization
- Own and refine the ERP/MRP data usage on site
- Provide strategic leadership to direct reports and collaborate with stakeholders at site and group level
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Previous managerial experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain roles
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments, preferably within a group or matrix organization
- Deep knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and data-driven decision-making skills
- Proven experience in staff development and improvement
- Interest in continuous personal and professional development
