Job Description
Job Responsibilities
  • Define sales forecasts for existing products, collecting, checking and analyzing all necessary information to increase forecasting accuracy and service level.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing departments on new product forecasting and act as a pivot to integrate it into the global forecast.
  • Serve as the forecasting interface with local and central departments.
  • Manage phase in and phase out implications on forecast and cannibalization of novelties on existing products.
  • Participate in forecast validation to match forecast against budget and related revisions, 3YP and budget definition.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to demand planning and actual sales (forecast accuracy).
  • Develop the forecasting process, proposing new forecasting models and acting with IT as key user for the pertinent application implementation/development.
  • Ensure a single integrated forecast process across markets while managing product peculiarities.
  • Define inventory level targets on each item to meet service level targets.
  • Calculate supply needs on a monthly basis to achieve inventory and service level targets.
  • Report and monitor service level and supply planning / production KPIs.
  • Monitor stock valorisation and obsolescence creation and take actions in collaboration with F&A, Sales and Marketing to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Work transversally with Demand, Supply and Distribution teams to keep inventory levels on target by managing short term priorities and hedging against medium/long term risks.
  • Animate local "Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)" process to evaluate all supply and inventory impacts.
  • Ensure smooth new product introduction by supplying sufficient products on time.
  • Lead the phase out process with Commercial, Marketing, F&A and Central planning departments to support assortment revisions and avoid overstock and obsolescence creation.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Supply Chain or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain role (2-3 years) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong quantitative data analysis skills.
  • Strong Excel, PowerBI and MS Office skills.
  • Strong problem solving ability and capability to create ad hoc tools.
  • Knowledge of planning techniques and models.
  • Knowledge of SAP and/or BW.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Chinese or strong understanding of APAC markets is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong team player who can collaborate with diverse groups productively.
