Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience

We are looking for a Materials Manager to join our Supply Chain team at Leeds Nuffield Hospital. As the leader within your team, you will serve as the key liaison between the Central Supply Chain and hospital leadership, ensuring effective communication internally, across the hospital, and within your department. You will also support the development, knowledge, and skills of your team.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Lead, motivate, supervise, and train the Materials department team.
  • Ensure procurement of goods and services meets hospital requirements, in line with Nuffield Health's policies and procedures.
  • Develop the department with accountability for cost management and the provision of management information.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Supply Chain at the site.
  • Achieve Supply Chain objectives, such as target inventory levels and compliance.
  • Ensure best practices in inventory management are followed, including managing and recording stock counts.
  • Implement and support cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Participate in business processes, projects, or initiatives affecting your area.
  • Regularly consult with departments regarding changes in clinical practice and supply chain developments.
  • Expand line management responsibilities to support hospital roles related to the supplies department.
