Job Description

A new position has been established for a Supplier Relationship Manager, reporting directly to the Head of UK Sites & Professional Services Procurement as part of the management team within the current organizational structure.

Salary: Circa £65,000 depending on experience

Hybrid Working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team, after the offer stage.

The Role:

The Supplier Relationship Manager will develop and execute the SRM strategy across three major pillars: Site Services, Construction, and all Professional Services categories. The role involves managing key suppliers and contracts to meet MBDA needs, working collaboratively with Domain and Category Managers to identify key suppliers, develop segmented Supplier Relationship roadmaps, and clearly define roles and responsibilities. The manager will coach Buyers and Category Managers in SRM techniques, providing advice, training, and development to ensure successful outcomes.

Candidate Profile:

  • Senior procurement/SRM professional, MCIPS qualified, with extensive experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including board level.
  • Ability to lead, influence, and develop SRM strategies in various contexts.
  • Knowledge of contracts and contract law, capable of developing SRM schedules, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Skilled in managing the contract lifecycle, including renewals and competitions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to lead independently and recommend strategies.
  • A team player who nurtures and coaches team members and ensures positive supplier engagement.
